Embedded payroll engine

Payroll becomes a feature of your platform.

Ason is a Swissdec certified payroll engine that your platform integrates through an API. Your customers run payroll inside your product. The regulation runs in ours.

Standalone

A complete payroll engine.

Every wage type, every canton, retroactive corrections, filings and documents. Built to run without a payroll specialist on your side.

Embedded

Inside your product.

The same engine, integrated through the API and rendered in your own interface. No second login, no export, no separate system.

Regulation is not a promise. It is a certification.

Swissdec certified

Certified against the Swiss standard, and treated as the baseline rather than the finish line.

Hosted in Switzerland

Payroll data stays in Switzerland. DSG and GDPR compliant by design.

Continuously updated

New regulation is deployed into the engine as code, not distributed as a manual.

Payroll as infrastructure

Three properties that traditional payroll software cannot offer, because it was built for specialists rather than for systems.

01

Machine-first API

A documented API built for system-to-system communication. Your developers integrate it, your users never see it.

02

Live payroll

The engine recalculates on every input. Retroactive corrections across periods are handled automatically. Rigid monthly cycles disappear.

03

Compliance as output

OASI, withholding tax and collective agreements are expressed deterministically in code. Compliance is a result, not an effort.

Two ways to integrate

Both run on the same infrastructure. You choose how much of the experience you want to own.

Embedded

You integrate the API fully into your own interface. You send payroll relevant data, trigger processes and display results in your product. Ason handles calculation, compliance and processing in the background. For teams that want complete control of the user experience.

Standalone white-label

A complete, brandable payroll application reachable from a single entry point in your product. For the shortest path to market with minimal development effort.

Both models in detail

PeopleWeek

Integration in progress

HR platform PeopleWeek embeds the Ason payroll engine directly into its product, turning payroll into a native feature without building payroll infrastructure of its own.

Questions we get asked

What exactly is embedded payroll?

Your platform offers payroll as a native function of your own product. Your customers never leave your interface. Calculation, compliance and filings run in the Ason engine behind the API.

Do we need payroll expertise on our side?

No. The payroll logic lives in the engine, not in the head of a specialist. The system guides users through payroll relevant events and produces the required documents automatically.

How long does integration take?

Weeks rather than quarters, depending on the integration model. The white-label route is the fastest, a full API integration takes longer because you are building your own interface.

What happens when regulation changes?

New rules are deployed into the engine as code through what we call the Regulation Factory. There is no maintenance project per customer and no retraining.

Can we test before committing?

Yes. The quickstart lets you load demo data and run against the API without an agreement in place.

Ready to look at it properly?

Start on your own with demo data, or talk to us about your integration.
